Saved Me $150 For a New PC MonitorThis is a nifty little device. When my old Gateway PC monitor died, I needed something to replace it. I had a recent TV I was not using but my old PC did not have an HDMI Out port -- only VGA. I installed this device in about 10-minutes and it works flawlessly. The only TV adjustment I had to make was to select the "Native" display mode. I did not have to buy a new PC monitor with a VGA In port. Note: a HDMI cable is not included; this devise does not convert HDMI to VGA (the reverse).5Easier than falling out of a boatI bought this to connect an older PC to a 24" LCD TV for use in an arcade cabinet I've been building. Powered it from a 5v USB port on the back of the TV. Works great. When Windows 10 detected it, it picked a resolution that cut off the top and bottom few lines of the picture, but as soon as I picked a different resolution in Windows, it fixed it. Picture and sound are great for what I needed. Can't recommend it enough.5I can use my computer with my new tvMy big tv broke and I had to get another tv for my computer . In fact when I got the product it didn't work at all. I'd like to say that I was surprised but to be honest I expected it. I was about ready to just Chuck it up as a loss when the customer service reached out and asked how I was liking the product (that is key they reached out to me without even a complaint filed). So I was honest and told them the issues I was having. They offered some troubleshooting tips, but when they realized that it was not a troubleshooting type fix they immediately sent me a replacement with the quickest replacement time I have ever saw. The second product worked like a dream connecting my VGA enabled laptop to a 70in HDMI TV for a presentation I had. The sound was a clear transfer and the picture looked great too. It was a giant surprise but even more surprising is how great the customer support, conflict resolution and overall experience I received was. If you are looking for something to help bridge two technologies that don't have the same inputs/outputs then this is a fantastic option. If you are not looking for this type of product I would still suggest buying anything from this company they are terrific and they will be seeing my business for future purchases. None of my monitors have a VGA input. So I needed the signal to go from my computer's VGA output to my monitor's HDMI input.This thingy costs very little, is very easy to use, and works perfectly. If you need to your video signal to go From VGA to HDMI, this product will get the job done for ya.ProTip: As you probably already know, you can hook your audio from your computer up to thingy (via 3.5mm aux cord) and it will play it through the monitor you hook the HDMI into. I used it to connect my old laptop, which has a VGA output port, and my 50 inch TV with HDMI input port. The picture quality and audio quality over HDMI is pretty good. This gadget really helped me make use of my old laptop and hook up to my new TV and create a general purpose system for computing, internet browsing and entertainment. For a low price this equipment works pretty good. I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in VGA to HDMI conversion.A minor issue to note is that this equipment only comes with a female VGA connector. My laptop also has a female VGA connector. I had to use another VGA cable to connect both. In the end, there were 4 cables connected to this adapter: a VGA cable, an audio cable, a HDMI cable and a USB cable. This doesn't look neat but I have this tucked away in the TV table, so not a big issue for me, but might be an issue for someone else. I would recommend that seller also packages a male-to-male adapter with this adapter. Then it'll be better.5
