Nice to have a base to sit on -- when ... Tank is as advertised/pictured. Free valve for 1/4" plastic tubing works perfectly -- use plumbing (silicon) tape prior to hand screwing on tank to prevent leaking. Nice to have a base to sit on -- when unpacking, screw it off the top of the tank for usage underneath the tank. It was very easy to replace the old tank that could no longer be pressurized.---Edit, 1 year later...Tank failed after 1 year. Water pressure was low so when trying to add more air, water squirted out the air valve. This meant that water leaked into the air space of the tank. Reduced rating to 2 stars because the tank should not have failed after 1 year. Since this was only a sample of 1 tank, the product may be good with mine just being an odd ball failure. Anyway, I replaced it with another brand. 2Tanks performs well, but the T Valve leaksI installed this tank about 2 months, as the original could no longer retain pressure. Replacing the RO132 water tank was straight forward, except for the valve connection on top of the tank. I have the GE GXRV10ABL01 Reverse Osmosis Water System. The 2.5 gallon tank it came with had a threaded 1/4" MPT fitting which was connected with a plastic line nut with an inside compression sleeve. To make things simple I planned to use the same same line nut, but the line nut compression sleeve was 3/8" and would not fit inside the new tank's MPT fitting. I ended using the valve that came with the tank (which looks nothing like the one in the product photo), but it has a 1/4 inlet line, so. I had to get a separate 3/8 to 1/4 reducer/Step-down to make it work. Not a big deal, but the real problem was the T valve kept leaking from the tank fitting. I initially wrapped the fitting threads with Teflon tape a few times before I realized that the fitting wasn t seating to the inside top of the valve. My plan now was to install an O-Ring. I sourced a # P9: 1.9mm W, 8.8mm ID O Ring from my assorted metric O Ring set I picked up at Harbor Freight a while back and inserted inside the valve. That did the trick; no more leaks after that. The tank has worked fine since. Not sure what the longevity of tank will be, but so far so good.4Better than OEBesides the fact that I didn't adequately measure my space and this tank was just a bit too big...I still installed it under my sink. I just can't close the cupboard door right now. No worries, because a reno is planned in the near future and it will fit afterwards! My original tank (that came with my house) literally broke and sent a mini river of water flowing in my kitchen from both the air valve and the water valve. Once I installed this, I realized that not only was my water pressure better, but that my old tank must have been so waterlogged that it was never filling properly! This tank has zero bad taste, was so easy to install, and it definitely holds the amount of water it states. I can fill my 32 Oz water glass several times before my system kicks on to make more water. My old tank kicked in after the cup was half full the first time, and took forever to make more.5This is not to say that Express Water has the worst tanks - probably just like most of the others ...We have had RO water purification for many years - relatively trouble free except for expansion tanks. We have had only two tanks that have lasted 5 years or more, many have failed in less time. These tanks all look alike and most made overseas - probably China - so I am not sure how you choose one - perhaps except for Amtrol which lasted over 5 years. My Express Water tank failed in less that 2 years - probably shorter life than any of the others (have had at least 6 over time). This is not to say that Express Water has the worst tanks - probably just like most of the others - HOWEVER Express Water has the best customer service I have experienced for a long time. I sent them an email about the tank failure on a Saturday - got a reply the next day on SUNDAY - they shipped me a new tank on Monday!!! The new tank works great for now - no telling for how long but I am sold on the seller.3Perfect size for under the sinkPerfect size for under the sink. Using it for a reservoir for our filtered water so that we get more pressure when filling a glass. Boy does it work! Fills a glass in a third of the time it used to take. Doesn't leak. The black plastic base is perfect size for securing the tank either upright or on its side. I opted for the side orientation because of the garbage disposal placement takes up so much room. Oh note, in the pictures the tank is in the "off" position because I was venting the new water filters and needed the tank to be isolated while that was happening. So normally the blue knob would be parallel to the plastic pipe for "on".5Valve supplied is NOT UNIVERSAL. Only fits 1/4" water lines!!!!!Point blank, the ball valve they supply will not work if your water "in" line is not 1/4". Many, if not most RO units from Whirlpool and other mfg's use 3/8" for their water "in" line. TankRo should include "2" valves even if they have to up their price a few bucks. I've been searching online all afternoon and still can't find the valve I need to make this tank work. I may have to send the d@mn thing back over this stupid valve... Lot's of wasted time!Update 3/28/18: Found the 1/4" by 3/8" valve at Ferguson's. Retail it cost me $9.76. This is a silly plastic valve that I'm sure wholesale can be bought for a couple of bucks. It's not good business for tankRo to not either warn people they do not supply this size valve, include one with the tank, or have an option to buy the tank with the correct valve.1Great replacementThe tank arrived safely packed in two cardboard boxes. The installation guide set forth the steps needed to install the tank and they were simple and straightforward. The only downside was having to empty the tank after the first partial fill. Be aware that with the pressure in the tank the water spews out. The second "adjustment" was that the included valve was for a 1/4 inch line. My Culligan system requires a 3/8 fitting. That was no problem because I took the old ball valve off the Culligan tank and used it on the RO.The reason for buying the RO was simple: Culligan charges $100.00 for a replacement tank. The RO came in a shade under $40. Whether it was a good replacement had to be tested. As background, the first Culligan tank lasted 13 years before the diaphragm failed. The second only lasted 3 years. How long the RO tank will last is undetermined. The stats for the change to fill 1 cup of water are: Culligan, 9.28 seconds, RO 6.59 seconds.54 gallon RO storage tankMy G.E. Profile RO's water flow went from a flood to a trickle literally overnight. After doing some research (after replacing the filters thinking they were clogged, but weren't), I came to find out that these tanks have a bladder inside that holds the water and the tank is pressurized with air between the bladder and tank. When I checked the valve stem to see if maybe my tank had just lost its air pressure, prepared to pump more air in to it, water came out. After doing some more research, I discovered that if water is coming out of the valve it means the bladder inside the tank has ruptured and the tank is a goner and needs to be replaced. After contacting G.E. For a replacement (for which they wanted well over $100 - uh, I don't think so!), I ordered this tank here on Amazon. I received it very quickly even though shipping was free and the tank was one of the lesser expensive available. Product was double boxed and was undamaged. The tank was considerably lighter than the one being replaced from my G.E. Profile system, but can't imagine it will be an issue with such low pressures. Only time will tell I suppose. I checked the air pressure and it was "pre-charged" to 10lbs. Install could not have been easier... I used my hose adapter from the tank being replaced and it screwed on without issue, hooked up the water line. Turned on the water and viola, my tank got my system back up and running, no leaks and good pressure.I'm very happy with this tank so far and saving more than $70 over buying a manufacturer replacement is very gratifying. Assuming this tank works with your application and existing system, I don't see why anyone would pay more. I will update this review should I experience any issues down the line but at this time, I highly recommend this storage tank.5I purchased a fairly high-end RO filtration system (> $400) about 2 years ago and the pressure was just average and only got worThis is an extremely high quality tank that only took a couple of minutes to install and at just $35, purchasing this tank was a no brainer. I purchased a fairly high-end RO filtration system (> $400) about 2 years ago and the pressure was just average and only got worse over time. We were only able to get about 6-10 ounces of water about every 15 minutes or so from our original tank. I tried adding air to pressurize the old tank (first with a bike pump, then with a compressor) but air would just not enter the tank. I'm guessing that my air valve was probably defective from day one so I never had the recommended 7 PSI (more like 0 PSI). This new tank came pre-charged to 7 PSI and works awesome.5NSF TANKRO.This tank is an upgrade from my previous 2.7gal tank. Made of high quality materials and being priced reasonably, I ordered TANKRO after my old tank went down. The new tank has a larger water reservoir and, based on the reviews, is better constructed and more robust than my old 2.7 gal tank.It came pre-filled with 10 psi pressure, making it true plug and play. Just needed to wrap stem with Teflon before placing valve. My only concern, having limited space under my sink, I wasn t sure the 4.0 gal tank would fit. Turns out this tank fits great!I will update this review when the tank goes down. Hopefully, that takes a long while.5The company stands behind their productsI bought this item 19 months ago and it has been working fine. However recently I notice that it start losing pressure and it only dispenses less than a quartz of water. I try to add more air into the tank to reset to the correct pressure, however it keeps losing the air again after few days. I decided to call the company just to ask how long the warranty is. I was not expecting much since it's been more than 1 year. As expected the warranty is good for 1 year. After some standard troubleshooting steps they walk me through, it was clear that there is problem with the air valve. To my pleasant surprise they then offer me a free replacement even though the warranty already expires and would ship a new one. 2 days later I received the new tank by Fedex. I couldn't be happier that this company is going out of their way to make their customer satisfaction a high priority. I wish all companies are like this, standing behind the quality of their products. Bravo!!!5
