Definitely a great product. I bought these to where at work. I'm a general contractor and enjoy listening to music instead of noisy power tools all day. They have great noise canceling. I was running a big loud shop vac on the job and the home owner was standing right beside me calling my name and I didn't know he was there till I almost ran into him and I could barely hear the shop vac. They sound quality is also very good with deep base. They come with a zip lock bag full of many sets of rubber tips of many sizes to custom fit them to your ear. I'm not a big fan of in the ear headphones because I find them irritating after a while and they fall out easily. I switched between 3 pairs of rubber tips till I found a set that was comfortable to where all day. They will fall out if your active but not as easily as all the other brands I have used which fall out every minute of the day. A runner might not have an issue with them but I am constantly bending over and lifting things all day which tends to pull on headphones more. I solved this problem by tethering the cord to my shirt so it pulls there instead of pulling from my ears. I can't comment on there longevity yet because I've only owned them a month butthey do appear to high quality as far as how they are built. I would highly recommend this product to others. 5Excellent Excellent, great frequency response, but perhaps just around 12000 hz a bit bright. The bass is clean and faithfully represented, if your looking for "boom" look elsewhere. It does not take alot to drive them as they are efficient. I listen to classical quite a bit and find them very good for that purpose. A very good value. 5They seem well-built but the sound quality is awful! After reading the hype all over the place about these, I was at least expecting them to sound half-decent for 30 bucks. Well, they don't. Far from it, actually. I have an old pair of $15 Creative Labs earbuds here that completely destroy these in every possible way! As far as the more expensive sets I own, they don't even enter into the equation. Note that my comments were made after I played music through these for several days - I kept hoping that the sound would improve at least a bit after some burn-in but nope, they sound exactly the same.First of all, you can try every tip they give you and I even tried some Comply tips but no matter what you do, these buds never feel like they're in your ears far enough, which gives everything a hollow sound. The bass is weak and completely unrefined with all bass notes sounding like they have the same pitch and the treble (especially cymbals) honestly sounds like kazoos on these things! And if you like to listen at loud volumes, forget it - these buds have absolutely NO sense of slam or power even when the volume is cranked and if you feed these a good 24-bit source, it's simply alarming just how awful they really sound.Like I said, you can get IEM's for under 20 bucks that completely blow these out of the water so if sound quality is even of minor importance to you, avoid these!!! 1A balanced frequency response makes the E10 a good budget choice for most people. SoundMAGIC E10 In-Ear Headphone Review*Note: This is the first in-ear that I've ever reviewed and the most expensive in-ear I've yet purchased, so I won't have comparisons. This is just what I've heard with my ears and my subsequent conclusions. Sound Quality:The bass on the E10 is present and not overdone. It's in the grey area where audiophiles may find it too emphasized but average consumers/Beats fans may find it to be not enough. It is very well controlled with decent detail. It isn't too punchy, it isn't too detailed, but it isn't boomy or muddy either. It's fairly clean and tight but could be more musical. If you're a basshead, you will want more bass, and if you are after reference/flat sound, you might want a bit less. I personally would have preferred the bass to be slightly more emphasized and punchier for a more immersive and musical sound.- It's worth noting that if you don't get a seal/correct fit, the bass on these will be quite thin and underemphasized. Make sure you have the right fit before you come to your conclusion. The midrange is balanced and clean. It's not too recessed or too forward, and has good separation from the bass. Vocals are nuanced and relaxed but not so much that they lose their presence. The upper mids seem a bit more emphasized than the low mids. The mids as a whole sound a bit thin. The treble at first was bright to my ears but now sounds pretty smooth and relaxed. It is slightly artificial but has plenty of airiness and space. The soundstage isn't very big but these are in-ears after all. Despite this, they do sound quite open, and never congested/thick.The isolation is good if you can keep the seal/correct fit. Comfort:These aren't the most comfortable headphones. If you don't like things entering your ear, then you obviously will find these uncomfortable. My personal issue was trying to make sure the seal was in place. I never quite felt like they were in my ear enough, which meant I kept adjusting them to make sure I had the seal. Without a correct seal, the bass loses a lot of presence and emphasis and the headphones sound too bright. Build Quality:I can't speak to the long term durability of these headphones, but SoundMAGIC says these headphones have a "Unique, all metal earphone construction," which is very impressive for the price. They also claim the cord is "tangle-free," which doesn't seem to be the case. The cable had lots of twists and turns and didn't lay straight after just a few uses. Overall, the build is good for the price. Accessorization:The accessorization is quite good for the price. There are 7 sets of eartips to help the user find a comfortable fit. They also come with a cable clip and a nice small zippered hard case. Summary:The SoundMAGIC E10 is a budget in-ear with a balanced sound. The bass is present but not ample, the mids are relaxed but not recessed, and the treble is smooth with just a slight brightness. Getting a correct fit could be tricky for some, and the long-term durability is unknown to me. For most people, these are 4 stars, but for me, they are 3 stars. I would prefer them with a bit more bass and a more comfortable fit. They're just not engaging enough to keep me listening.PROS: Balanced sound Airy treble Good accessorization PriceCONS: Bass could be more emphasized and engaging Slightly thin midrange Slightly artificial treble Trouble getting a comfortable fit Small soundstage 3Best Sound Quality for $ - if louder they d be PERFECT Good for the price point, but I did have higher expectations for the volume of sound it could produce. I use these mainly for my iPhone and I do like to listen to music louder than what inexpensive, standard earbuds provide without going over the $50 range. And while these do offer a little more volume capacity that s noticeably louder than the standard Apple-included or cheaper $10 earbuds, I was expecting a more moderate increase in volume than mild. I m not someone who prefers strong/heavy bass like those who are used to Beats, so for me this provided the perfect amount of bass and really did have an overall great sound quality and pretty good noise cancellation! I just knocked one star due to the fact that I wish it could increase volume a bit more (looking at the specs I thought it d be a bit louder than they are). Minor complaint would be to add at least basic up/down volume control, but didn t knock any stars for that given the information states that and honestly b/c the volume range isn t that much for me so they typically stay on the loudest volume with my iPhone. If these could increase in volume by just one or two notches, they d be the best earbuds one could ever buy under $50. Still, at this price, they are more than worth it especially for those who aren t looking for as loud of an output as I prefer (probably safer for ears anyway to not go as loud as I like to lol). Overall, good purchase & hard pressed to find better sound quality for this price. 4Muddled sound, Good design Overall:Upper-mid tier construction, disappointingly mid-tier sound.Good:Good constructionWires are in a stiff and slick sort of plastic, makes it very hard to tangle.Carrying Case is not bad.Earbuds are marked Red/Blue for easy Right/LeftSilicone ear inserts fit well and isolate sound well, multiple sizes are included, too.Bad:"eh" audio quality. Better than terrible cheap headphones, but not "oh, that's nice" that I would have expected for this price.I personally feel the bass and lows are strong, but make the overall sound muddled and very warm. Sort of like your stereotypical "hearing things underwater" effect, but much more subtle. The highs and mids are present, but not crystal clear. I listen to EDM, Drums and Bass, and Acapella/Acoustic vocal-heavy things, and I enjoy crisp mids and highs more than heavy bass.I enjoy the following headphones and use them as a point of comparisonLogitech Ultimate Ears 500vi- a bit warmer/bassy, but not muddled, not terribly expensive. 600vi is very scratchy and not recommended.ZERO AUDIO ZH-DX200-CT - cooler, less bassy, but it has oh-such-clear mid/highs, for only a few dollars more than this (2018)AudioTechnica ATH-M50x - unfortunately full-sized headphones, but is my standard for quality sound.Unknown:I have not used them long enough to comment on durability. 3Great for the price! Great headphones. I had the Sennheiser CX300-II buds prior to these as well as Sennheiser cans (HD 449) so I swore by Sennheiser. When my third pair of Sennheiser buds stopped working (the cans however, are still great after consistent use for 4 years), I decided to venture into another brand that was of a similar sound quality but more sturdy. Some brief research brought me to these, which I thought were a decent price and looked good. After a week of use, I am very impressed. The sound quality is superior to the Sennheisers, and these seem sturdier too with a very strong cable with a hard casing. The bass is rich, the mids are clear and the highs are pretty good too. These headphones are pretty well balanced; they aren't too bright and the low end isn't too thick either. For the price, the clarity is outstanding. Assuming they don't have any further issues, I am very impressed with this product. 5Good Buy I have always been extremely picky on my earphone purchases. There are a few things I always look for when choosing my earphones.1) Durable product. I mean the construction of the headphone should be good quality including the wires, connectors. They should be able to handle the vigors of daily usage and not break when handled a little rough.2) Good Sound Quality. I don't consider myself to be a bass head nor am I an audiophile. I do enjoy the bass but prefer the sound to be a tad bit balanced than have over pronounced bass.3) Not too pricey. I do believe that you get what you pay for, however even the most expensive product may not be actually worth the features you get. For me, features, durability and quality, should match the price I pay.Based on the above factors, I think this product matches or exceeds expectations. I have had this product for close to 5 months now and though I don't use it on daily basis, I am glad I bought this. The product is durable. The earphone casing, connectors and wires are all good quality and the provided carrying case is an added bonus of protecting the earphones. The sound quality is good. It satifies my requirements by not over enhancing the bass and drowning the mids and highs.I would definitely recommend this product to others. 5Great Sound Quality...Poor Construction Quality! If you are looking for a pair of high volume, ear blasting ear drum splitting headphones, look elsewhere...If you are looking for a very musical sounding pair of headphones, these are exceptional for the price! Beautiful harmonies on vocals, flat smooth deep bass extension, great on orchestral works and a powerful soundstage.Unfortunately I cannot recommend them as one ear went out about 3 months after I purchased them. And the thing is, I read the reviews back when I bought them in 2015 and decided to baby them knowing there were issues. I only listened at home and carefully stored them in a protective pouch.I came back here to see if things had been fixed since I purchased them last, hoping they had been so I could purchase them again after things had been ironed out. Unfortunately it appears it has not, as many reviewers are complaining about this issue still. Therefore I cannot recommend them, and as much as I d like to get another pair, I cannot purchase headphones at this price with only a 3 month shelf life. 2Great sound, but uncomfortable I bought these to replace a pair of trusty Sennheiser CX-300 earbuds that had developed a weird scratchy noise when moving the cables (after 4 yrs of daily use). The sound quality of the E-10s was very good, maybe just a bit more detailed than the CX-300s. The build quality looked pretty decent for the $, but I would still place these below the Sennheisers due to the rigid 'plasticy' cables. The problem was that I couldn't leave them in my ears for longer than 45 min. before they became quite uncomfortable. I tried the medium & large tips that came in the package, and even swapped a few misc. tips I had laying around. But I couldn't find a combination that was comfortable for me. 3
