The bass and the sound quality gets worse by a lot. I know this because i tested it with bluetooth and this aux cord. DO NOT BUY1Reasonable option since OEM part unavailableLooks almost exactly like the Bose original - fits my Bose SoundTrue over-ear headphones perfectly, unlike some other 3rd party replacements. Buttons are of lower quality however - whereas the Bose ones have a definite "click" to them these have a hard spongy feel and it's hard to know if you activated them unless the device responds immediately. I've been using it for about a month without issues - I don't notice any difference in microphone quality from original.4May Work for Others - Not Me ThoughI received an email from the seller this cord DOES NOT work with Android. The volume control doesn't work on my Samsung, iPhone or a laptop. I was hoping the seller to re-write the specs and tell you all - the volume may not work on any device. I had an IT guy come check the settings on external phones and every phone or device and confirmed ---out of the box--- (is ear plug earphone ready). If it doesn't work you can click mute or up and down to check for the clicking, to see if it works properly, but in my case, it works on nothing.Truth is I just bet a good electrical guy at MEKOKO can explain why these may fail.2Perfect.
