Customer Reviews

NOT "heavy duty" paper sleeves by any meansThe description in the amazon listing states that the paper is "heavy duty paper" but the paper they're made from is not "heavy duty", by any means. It's just normal feeling paper and is rather thin. The box I received is white, not the multi-color box as shown in the amazon listing, but the #190132 matches.(I thought first that maybe the wrong box was sent) No where on the box I received does it state "heavy duty".I'm not returning them because they were such a low price and they will be used for giving CD/DVDs to others who, I would hope, will put the disk(s) in a more suitable holder. If you're looking for "heavy duty" paper CD/DVD sleeves, these are not them. 3These are paper they are greatThese paper sleeves here are of good quality Maxell still living up to its name and reputation. And when I got these and still maybe so one can get Super Saver Shipping with this item. Here is the game plan save inexpensive items like these with super saver shipping in your "wish list" then when you order something big that costs say $21.00 with super saver shipping then add one of these items like this that you want more of but do not desperatelly need at the moment ... include it with your $21.00 item and now you get free shipping ....Back at the Ranch .. these colors are vivid and appealing .. the only drawback is the see thru window hides part of the disk I label mine and sometime what I write on them I can not see all of it because the window is smaller than the disk surface but I guess that is needed for strength. Oh and the paper ones are hard to find at your local brick and mortar stores at least where I live I am glad they still make these paper ones so maybe order some.one last thing ... regarding labeling disks .. either lightscribe them or in my opinion get some of those CD MARKERS it's like a black magic marker that once dried does not smudge or run. It is like paint or something but does not chip off either ... AMAZON has them too. If you put on a paper label in time it may peel or get hung up in your cd/dvd drive so use light scribe or a CD marker. CD markers may not look so cool but your so cool anyway you don't need a cool looking peeling label. 5Paper is better than Plastic when storing CD, DVD, or Blu-ray disksI've used a variety of paper and non-woven poly-something plastic sleeves over the years. I've discovered that the plastic ones tend to leave some kind of off-gas coating on the disk that can impede use and requires cleaning (dish soap, careful wash, dry with clean towel). The paper doesn't have the problem, so these were ordered to finally replace the plastic sleeves. 5The best quality and price for this type of product.I used to purchase cd sleeves from Americopy, who made their sleeves exactly like these, except they only came in white (which I prefer, but I'll deal with the multi-color deal). Then my last batch was complete junk. The quality was crap, but the price was the same, so I decided to switch. I just received these a couple minutes ago, and I'm once again happy. I paid a few bucks more for these, but the quality is worth much more than the extra money I spent. After all, you'll end up putting 100 cd's in these sleeves, so the quality is well worth it. I'm very happy with my purchase, and given that these are made by a well-known company, I don't expect them to go cheap on me any time soon. 5They get the job doneThe product met my expectations. It isn't the highest quality, but for the price I am very happy. I just wanted CD/DVD sleeves for a large number of DVD's my wife is creating, while taking less space than plastic cases. The only complaint I have is with the shipping. The product was shipped via UPS and it looked like someone just threw the package into the back of the truck and then dropped a bunch of cinder blocks on top of it. The box containing the sleeves was crushed, with both ends open and several of the sleeves outside of the box. Fortunately, the item wasn't breakable. 5 stars for the product, 1 star for the shipping. 5saves an archaic medium from damage and lets you sort it all out.Colorful sleeves protect dvd/cds from scratches. Colorful sleeves allow color coding, keeping you from mixing your porn collection up with your tax forms and financial records. They are the correct size and they don't put up with any guff from anybody. The Maxell people apparently know about this stuff from testing them on that guy that sits in a chair with his hair blown back by the intensity of the accuracy of the reproduction of a musical piece. They shoot these sleeves out a compressed air cannon like they use for shooting t-shirts at the stock car races, directly at this poor fellow and then they check the discs inside the sleeves and there is virtually no damage to the sleeve or cd, the man however has received several concussion and is considering legal action or pursuing another line of employment.this does not detract from the outstanding quality of these paper sleeves, who were once mighty trees and now just humble sleeves, still doing a majestic though pedestrian job. I would recommend them to anyone who appreciates and needs colorful storage sleeves for that misunderstood and nearly abandoned medium which was once greeted with fanfare and acclaim and now has slowly whithered into oblivion. 5Perfect to house disks from damaged DVD set.Purchased Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (complete series) from Amazon about 2 weeks-ish ago, but many of the "trays" the DVDs came attached to were - pardon my pun - Warped. Ended up replacing the damaged trays with the generic DVD (white) sleeves I had on hand, but twenty-one generic white sleeves in one box and eight more in another can get mixed up pretty easily. What I needed was a way to at least separate them by season... possibly by color as all I had on hand was white.Enter these Maxell Sleeves! These come in FIVE different colors - Red, Orange, Yellow, Blue, and Green. Since 100/box, going to guess 20 of each.Counting the 85+ white sleeves I already own, I've now got six different colors. More than enough variety and quantity to separate the discs by-color/by-season. Cost was incredibly low as well.Quality-ishThey feel about the same as my generic Box-o-100 white sleeves.. ..not exactly thick, but should do the job. As these are going to live inside a plastic box, they should be fine. May order some more of these as can have Important Discs in color amidst a sea of white-labeled disks, etc. 4Colorful covers for CD's/DVD'sI was making DVD's for my son's soccer team, of their season, and needed some covers. These Maxell 100 pack multicolored (blue, green, yellow, orange and red) covers caught my eye. I thought they were cute and different. They hold up well with the disc inside. They are paper and will allow the disc to break if not handled or stored properly, but I knew that in ordering them. I have not had any problems with them and will definitely order them again when needed. 5Great ProductI have only used one sleeve out of this box but have used the white sleeves in this brand for years. They are neat little envelopes for your CD or DVDs. They are great if you make several copies of either and need to give them to others.I made copies of a DVD of something videoed at our church and the sleeves are totally awesome because it is a safe way to transport the dvds and it keeps it clean and free from dust and also a good way to store once taken home.I like the bright and bold colors of the envelopes. The one side is clear in the center so you can view the disk inside. The back has a flap and a little tab to put the flap under to hold it closed so your disk is safe inside and won't just fall out. And will keep the disk safe in case you drop it. It won't just fall out of the sleeve and on to the ground. I will def purchase these again in the future when I need more.Memorex also makes these in just packs of white if you are not in to the bold colors. I have used those before as well. 5Basic CD envelope, bright colors add fun.Stacks and stacks and stacks of old CDs which have long-since been imported into iTunes, and we wanted to put the CDs themselves into storage. The old jewel cases were cracked and falling apart, and wasted tons of space. Paper CD sleeves to the rescue!!And boring white sleeves are, well, boring. These multicolor envelopes are more fun, plus you can use them to categorize what you're storing - for example classical goes in green, folk goes in orange, etc. They're a good size to hold a single CD plus the insert booklet from the front of the jewel box case. What it won't do: hold multiple CDs plus a booklet, especially if the booklet has more than one or two pages. Two CDs with a page or two, perhaps. I also wouldn't recommend these for uses where they'll experience a lot of wear and tear - for example carrying around loose in a computer bag. They're paper, and I'm sure they won't hold up to that treatment. For that kind of use, you'd be better off with a Tyvek sleeve or a plastic case. 5
