Customer Reviews

So glad I bought this backpack; great value!I can t speak thoroughly on the durability of this backpack, because I ve only had it for a month, but so far shows no signs of wear nor tear. However, the material itself is fantastic, and has been adequately water-resistant (I ve used this backpack to carry my notebook, laptop, and a few books, plus pens, and they ve made it without a smidgen of water!).This backpack is great; although it s listed as slim which it is it has ample room inside, and several hidden pockets. I m able to carry several pens, a notebook, my 15 MacBook Pro (I can put my MBP in its 16 protective case, and it fits perfectly in the laptop pocket), my MBP s charger and iPhone charger, some super warm puffy socks, and a shirt all with room to spare!I have a torn right rotator cuff, and this backpack distributes the weight well, never feeling like my shoulder is hurting (even when my backpack is carrying all of the aforementioned).5Great for short tripsJust took this backpack on vacation to California. Charge port worked great while moving around in the airport while the other suckers are stuck to electrical outlets. Storage was awesome, I was able fit all my electronics, 2 magazine, headphones, and snacks.5No Lock.Got my bag today, no lock. I think the bag I got was a return.Pros: Slim size, compression straps can make it even slimmer. It's on the small side, but fits what I need it to fit. There's a rubber label on the outside that's sewn on, so it can be easily removed without a trace (which I did; I don't like being an advertisement). Main compartment has some odd pockets, one is probably for a power brick. don't know about the others (there's a fleecy laptop sleeve that runs the entire heigth of the bag, with another pocket that goes 1/3 of the way up for, don't know what that's about, then a zippered pocket inside for a phone maybe and another smallish pocket). Padded back.No opinion: USB thing, I can take it leave it. I don't see myself using it. Zipper pulls are branded. Two side pockets for water or bottles are ok, but don't seem big enough. I'm not hiking with this thing, and water is plentiful in first world cities, so I don't see me using them for that purpose. One has a strap, one doesn't. I don't know why.Cons: No lock, shoulder straps are thin, flimsy, and don't seem well-anchored to the bag at any point. I predict I'm buying a new bag in 6 months.Overall, I think I got my $27 worth. I've spent more on less, so I'm not disappointed or feel like I was ripped-off.I'd welcome a message from the seller on how I can get a lock for the bag, as long as the answer isn't "send it back for a replacement." Nope, not sending anything back. Send it to me.1Perfect for a college studentOk so I didn't want to jump in the first day I got it and write a positive review possibly misleading any future buyers. What I have to say about this backpack is that it is all I could have asked for and more. It is comfortable to wear, secure enough that I feel comfortable having only one strap or two. The USB connector is a nice feature even if I am not able to use it (Oneplus 6) and overall the many compartments are just enough for me to separate my chrome book and my textbooks in one zipper and my chargers and cables on the other. The backpack itself is very sturdy, I usually carry my 48oz thermos filled with elice, my chrome book charger, my chrome book, spare change, skate tool, textbooks, and a few journals and pens and I do not feel the backpack will give anytime soon. For the price you couldn't ask for something better. If you're a college student in need of a backpack this is what you're looking for. It'll fit a 15.6 chrome book or laptop but I wouldn't recommend going bigger. The backpack itself isn't something I would wash by throwing inside a washer machine due to the USB cable but you can easily flip it inside out to scrap with a brush and some soap water.5Compact Look & ComfyI am a 5ft 3, 105lbs female. I love this bag pack. I got it for a conference. The quality is good and I love everything about it. It looks like very dark grey bag when you see it outdoor instead of a true black, while looking at it indoor it looks black. This is even better as I love this black grey shade. It has a compact look when it is not filled with a lot of stuff, and the shoulder straps are wide and padded and very comfy. I got my husband to try it on and he knew he would not want it right away as he disliked the wide straps (he preferred narrower straps). The wide straps do not bother me, in fact it is one of the reasons I love it as the weight are distributed comfortably on the padded straps.5Amazing for the price, you can spend 2x or 3x more and not get as much quality or featuresIf you go to Walmart or Best Buy, you will spend $50+ on a backpack and it will still not match this backpack in quality, features, and looks.-Quality - great stitching, no loose threads or ugly/weak stitching that I can see after a couple weeks of use.-Material - nice water-resistant material, Premium feel and look. Zippers are also high quality and seem to be durable.-Features - the USB plug on the side of the backpack works nicely and keeps you from having a random wire from your portable charger coming out from one of your zippers.-Features continued - minimal padding on the backside and the straps, but it keep the overall width and profile of the backpack nice and slim. Comfortable enough to carry all day even with a lot of weight inside. Lots of pockets for everything you would carry while at the office or while travelling.-Small zipper compartments and pouches inside of the main zippered area for headphones, keys, sunglasses, etc.-Diagonal backpack on the back looks nice and is functional as well, I use it to hold my portable mouse, headphones, or keys.Overall, I do honestly believe that you will have a very, very difficult time finding a better looking or a better quality travel/office bag for the amount of money this bag will cost you.5Perfect For Light Travel, Not Bulky, Sharp Look!So-Far-So-Great! A lot of room for all my electronics, "iPad, cell phone, portable mini charger, paper-work, snacks, my toiletries, drink, I keep a water blatter in it as well!. My own camel-back conversion. The bag is not to bulky has nice fit yet it holds all the things I need to make it through an eight hour day at work. I like and recomend this bag!5Stylish looking slim backpack, but not very practical.Overall, a nice looking, slim backpack to carry laptop and some notebooks to work. The picture on the website is very different from actual textile material of the backpack I received. Picture shows some dark gray blended with black, the actual backpack is pretty much flat black color. Initially, I was very disappointed, but am slowly trying to get used to it.Pros:- Stylish- Slim profile- Easily fits 15.6" laptop, large notebook, laptop charger and other small random stuff- Curved back/shoulder straps sit pretty comfortable on the shoulders- Price is reasonable for what you getCons:- Color is off - flat black instead of what's pictured on the website- Padding for laptop - very thin layer, not much protection- External USB charging port - Don't find it useful, I wish this backpack had an option to buy one without this damn port. Also, the way this port is wired, the cable snakes inside of the main compartment and obstructs access to laptop. I had to tuck it away to the side.- Zipper dongles - those are made of some metallic-like material and when you walk, they dangle against each other and make chattering metallic noise, would be better if they were either coated with some soft material or made of plastic.- Initial smell - many people commented about initial chemical smell, it does wear out few days later40/10. Do not be swayed by positive reviews. No quality improvements. This backpack is truly full of disappointments. I understand that it's only ~$20, but you're honestly better just investing in a backpack that will actually serve you well. I would say this backpack is about on par with some backpacks I picked up at a nearby department store on clearance for less than $5. I actually prefer those backpacks to this one. I've aggregated the list of problems that I experienced while using this backpack for only a month. There ranked from the ones that I was most displeased with (namely capacity) to the ones I was least displeased with (aesthetics). I wouldn't say there is anything redeeming about this backpack.1) The side pockets don't work for any reasonable use. Because the fabric is so non-stretchy, the side pockets are absolutely useless. There is just enough fabric to over the side of the backpack and no more. While this doesn't really seem like it would be a problem, it makes more of a slit than a pocket. Imagine sewing a small pocket onto skinny jeans. Sure, you could fit something flat like money or paper in there, but you couldn't really put a wallet, much less anything bigger. This is how these side pockets are constructed. You can't really put water bottles in there because there's no give to them and they are only just big enough to fit that circumference. Further, by putting things in there, you cause the backpack wall to come into the main pouch. This reduces the overall size of the main cavity. In the reverse, if you have anything in the main cavity, you can't use the side pockets because there's no space for them to press into. Because of this, I ended up resorting to packing the water bottles in the main cavity with all of my other belongings and hoping for the best.2) The storage space is limited due to the inflexibility of the fabric. While the side pockets were my main frustration. there is very limited space in the main cavity. This is not only affected by the limited volume when the backpack is completely unpacked but also affected by the fact that none of the fabric has any stretch to it.3) The front two pockets are practically useless. The front two pockets are very flat, much like the side pockets. I'd say the only difference is that they have zipper protection. Because of the limited fabric stretch, if you are looking to put anything other than very flat objects, like paper in these pockets, you will have difficulty fitting them in and will reduce the capacity of your main pouch.4) It traps all forms of heat. I'm a fairly petite woman who doesn't sweat a lot, but walking around during the summer with this backpack would drench the back of my clothing. Absolutely no heat could escape when I was wearing the backpack, so it caused me to sweat probably 3-4x as much on my back as I did anywhere else. If I would take it off, I could feel the sweat all along the backpack when I put it back on because the backpack doesn't have quick drying fabric.5) The USB port is less convenient than you'd think. As noted in prior reviews and answers, this doesn't come with a power pack (totally fine). However, the power pack I used (along with what I believe are most power packs) require you to turn them on by pressing a button when you want to use them. Unless you have your device plugged in from the beginning of the day, you will eventually have to open up the backpack and turn on the power pack to start the charging. Further, very few cords wouldn't reach out of the backpack and around the person, so saving the extra ~12 inches doesn't really do much.6) The straps are very cheaply made and actually gave me rubbing burns. I decided to walk around with this backpack while in a strapless sundress, and I had some rubbing burns along my shoulders just from this backpack. The fabric that lines them is very rough, jersey type fabric. It has less than a centimeter of padding, so it doesn't relieve any of the pressure from you.7) The zippers are cheap. As many people have noted, the zippers tend to break. While mine haven't fully broken (due to my limited use via disappointment in this purchase), the main zipper has a pucker in it so that it constantly gets stuck in one particular spot and seems like it's going to break there every time I use it.8) The fabric just doesn't look like it does in the picture, and it's also very cheap. The image makes it look like the fabric has a leathery or wooly texture to it, but really it just looks and feels like cheap polyester. As I've already mentioned, it has absolutely no stretch anywhere which severely reduces the capacity of all of the compartments.9) The backpack does not look that refined or stylish in person as it does in the picture. It the picture, it seems like a very refined, rectangular, sharp, thin backpack. In reality, it is much more rounded and constantly looks like its overflowing because of how the fabric has such little give. If you put anything in there, it ruins the shape of the backpack.10) The handle is a single strip of very cheap nylon. It doesn't seem very sturdy. You might as well not have it at all since it seems like it is prone to rip if you were to ever lift the backpack while it wasn't empty. For all of these reasons, I would not recommend purchasing this backpack.UPDATE: The zipper finally broke ~4.5 months after purchase.1Laptop Sleeve and Water Bottle Pockets Quite SmallJust got this bag two days ago and usually don't write a review this quickly but thought I'd offer my initial impressions then update after using it more.First of all, the bag looked to be just the size I wanted. However, my 15" laptop does not fit in the protected sleeve. It will fit in the less protected area but that's no good. The bag does fit my 14" laptop fine.Next, as another member mentioned, there is a lack of stretch in the side pockets. This means the largest bottle that can fit in the side pockets would be about 3.25" in diameter. My 32 oz Nalgene wouldn't fit. And even with smaller diameter bottles, it's hard to quickly slip them in and out. I certainly would not be able to insert it one-handed with the bag on my back. Can't quite understand what they were thinking. At least one of these pockets should stretch. Also, because of the lack of stretch, a bottle essentially ends up using interior space in the bag instead of hanging on the outside of the bag. There are two adjustable straps on each side. Don't know how useful these will be and it seems that they might actually be more of a nuisance than a positive feature.Anyway, I looked through so many bags on Amazon when looking for a relatively thin backpack and this one seemed to fit my needs best so I'll keep it and see how it does. (Wish it came in gray, too, though.)3
