Does everything I want it to doI have a very unusual looking tower. Have had it since the early 2000s. Power button decided to quit working on it. I did hook the USB up just because the motherboard had one open. I left the HD and power LED on the PC, and only hooked up the Reset switch and power. That way all the original case lights work. I ran the wire around the outside of the computer and stuck my switch on the top handle of the PC.Switch was a complete win-win for me.5Works great! They work great I just don't like the PCI slot cover that part of the cable plugs into. Its kinda annoying trying to find a place to put that part on my mining rigs.4Good for the price, but a few nit-picksOverall it's a decent switch with a few caveats.1) Fit and finish. The plastic on the switch housing is as cheap as it gets. You can actually "feel" how cheap it is. The rubber around the cable is also stiff and plastic-like instead of soft and rubber-like. Lastly take note that the cable has a female / male connection near the end of it to aid utilization in an actual computer case. For me, trying to plug the male end into the female end was very difficult. I assume one of the pins was slightly off. I ended up having to use my fingernails to dig in and press on the edges and while i was finally able to force it in, it was not without gouging the plastic plug in the process with my nails (I had to apply a lot of force). For reference, I am a *very* strong guy so the issue was definitely with the plug.2) For attachment options the switch housing only seems to have sticky pads on the bottom. There are none of those hand keyhole patterns where you could put a screw or two into your desk and slide lock it into place such as you see on the bottom of a power strip for instance. As such I am at the mercy of how long these adhesive pads will last and keep it in place. This won't be long as I have a move coming up and the switch will have to be removed while moving my desk.Overall for the price I still feel this is a decent switch when compared to the alternatives on the market at the time but I'd love to see the above nitpicks addressed.3Works but mehWorks but pretty damn cheap! Power button gets stuck every once in a while.Another annoyance is that the backplate MUST be used in order to use the individual motherboard connectors. I ended up just separating the connection jack from the card slot filler. Minor annoyance, but still worked.4I mean... it works... cons asideIts alright base on how it works and the product experience that gave me.Pros to me. *Easy to turn my PC ON/OFF/Restart *2 reach-able USB ports(yeah, thats it, to be honest)Cons to me. *The cable that plugs through the steel back plate is kind of lose, which Blue LED for the Button will turn off, if not position right. *Both USB ports are 2.0, why can't it be 3.0 instead??? *No instructions or any paper comes with in the boxBTW...*There is 3 round double sided tapes under the switch... well after trying to remove the tape to see whats under it, there are few small open holes and screws under it, which I can see whats inside. And it is a good thing to some people, if I want to make some custom changes, which I won't. All I can do is just leave it there, without sticking it on a surface.3Works pretty good, minor gripesWorks like you'd expect, price is right and makes it easy to control my PC that's way behind my desk. I combined this item with item number B07KQQGPG7 (mobo header splitter) so I could have this and the PC's buttons & LEDs hooked up at the same time. Here's what I don't like, all minor:-Wish the cable was just a tad bit longer-the HDD LED is red, bright, and looks sort of dumb. Wish it was smaller, blue like the power LED-Has cutouts for 2 audio jacks but I can't find a version of this product w/ USB and audio. Would be nice-The cable has a terrible feel to it, like a really old appliance that's not very flexible and has weird grooves running along the cable-the internal header cables are multicolored, wish they were black which looks better inside your case-the entire puck thing is a little bigger than I'd expected, wish it was a tad bit smallerPros:-price-installation is easy, I like the bracket and quick disconnection thing-actual power button is giant and I like that-sticky pad stuff on the bottom to mount it4Performs as needed / easy install. It installed easily and I have had no issues with any pins being bent or connecting to either motherboard or PC case. It is a little cheap looking as the main switch is made of plastic, but it works well and allows me to display my PC off to the side of my desk while allowing me to control the reset and power while sitting. I purchased 2 of these and will be installing the other one on my other gaming rig.4A good value for the price butThis case switch does what it needs to do and it's pretty awesome that it has 2 usb ports as well however I do feel like there could be some slight improvements. The bare cabling on the inside of the case are red white and blue and I like Freedom colors as much as the next guy but it definitely clashes with the theme of my pc so buying some cable managing tubes to keep a specific theme will be necessary however if these colors don't bother you then no problems! the smaller reset button feels satisfying to click however the larger power button has to almost sink in before it will register, while this doesn't affect performance it does give the button a "cheap" feeling when pressing down on it. The item is split into 2 parts, the switch on the outside and the bracket with connectors on the inside, the connector from the power button to the brackets' quality is on par with connectors in the motherboard and do not hold securely and can fall off from accidentally applying any amount of pressure to the cable. the bracket connectors on the inside are screwed into the bracket so I would have liked to see a way of screwing the outside connectors to the bracket as well.Overall the look of the switch having a gloss finish and having the power button and USB ports in arms length are much more convenient!4Don't expect to much from the USB portsI needed an external power switch for my PC TO stop my cats from hitting the power/reset button. Its a little bigger than I expected, but thats ok. The power button works fine, the reset is a little sticky, but I can live with that. It also comes with 2xUSB connections. As far as I can tell, these are USB 1.0 and no good for anything apart from a keyboard or mouse, can't even use a USB camera on it. If you are expecting 2 extra USB ports, dont expect too much, for an external switch, it's a great product.4Easy to install or remove when neededBought this for my parent's PC where the power switch needed to be pressed several times (sometimes 20 or more) before it would turn on. And also for ease of access since the case was on the floor and they needed to go under the desk to turn it on.Was contemplating on a new computer case but that would have been too much.Came across this after some searching and decided to buy it.Installation was easy and managed to do this in less then 10 minutes. And the fact that the cabling can be disconnected from the back is also good.USB 2.0 options was a plus also.Only thing that had me worried for a little while was the HDD LED was not lighting/flickering for activity but the cabling just needed to be turned 180 degrees. And the fact that the cabling can be disconnected from the back is also good.No instructions came with the package, but if you know what you need or do some online searching and reading anyone can install it.For a future upgrade I would suggest that they make the buttons smaller and add USB 3.0/3.1/3.2 to keep up with today's USB speeds. Technology does not remain the same :)Would recommend it for anyone that would need it5
