    Easy setup. Product was exactly as described. Easy setup. 5Inexpensive, works great Used this to translate analog video to a digital feed at a security station. No issues so far and it's on 24x7. 5Caution CouldNot get this to stream video to NVR 1Affordable, nice encoder/decoder This unit is both an encoder and decoder and switching between the two is easy. The software for finding the IP address works on PCs only, but once you have the IP address you can configure the camera from any web browser. The web video preview works on PCs only, though. I haven't tried the Dynamic DNS option, but it works fine with a static IP address which eliminates the need for using the software to find the IP.The wires for the power supply were just a fraction of an inch too short so they wouldn't stay locked in the connector. It was straightforward to strip a bit more wire so they can lock in place. 5FreePBX Audio Decoder Great item for decoding PBX audio for a Intercom system. The actual unit to do this cost over $500, so I am very satisfied. Set it in SIP mode decoder and you are good to go! 5Five Stars Outstanding Product 5Does what I wanted - converted NTSC camera to IP camera I'm not sure what the one person was talking about when he complained that the product only works with Grandstream products. I am using this with a Gadspot NTSC camera to make it an IP camera. I am using blue Iris surveillance software to capture the images from the camera through the video encoder. So it is working both with 3rd party cameras and 3rd party surveillance software.Everything works very well.I have only tested a couple days and I have noticed that sometimes the video update to the server becomes distorted or slow. I can't say whose fault that is. Whether it is a camera problem or the video encoder. But it isn't a problem for me. Not yet anyway. 5Works OK, but having trouble using preview in Firefox Seems to work fine. The owners manual could be better. Its slim pickings for detailed technical information on this device. IMPORTANT NOTE: the image preview only works in Internet Explorer. Seems that there is some module required that Firefox doesn't have. I'm still working on this issue. 4Good encoder I bought mainly for the encoder feature. The decoder only works with Grandstream cameras, a drawback. They could make it compatible with VLC and a variety of codecs, that would be even better. 5Buggy software, no support I have 6 other encoders running in various CCTV applications. I could not find the IP address to connect this Grandstream product to my LAN, nor could my Hikvision NVR pick it up. Seller did not respond to inquiry via Amazon. Manufacturer difficult to reach, referred me to the manual and said they do not support Amazon sellers or customers. AVOID GRANDSTREAM. 1
