Customer Reviews

Dual threat; Low quality AND low power! I've ordered hundreds of products from Amazon and never felt obligated to write a review until purchasing this item. I received this item today and upon opening it I immediately noticed how cheap it felt. I guess it's my fault for assuming a product carrying this price tag and having "stainless" in the title would be made of metal or at least SOME metal, but alas this was not the case. Only plastic here, people. Actually, that's not entirely true, the connecting hardware pieces were metal so that's worth one fancy Amazon Star (TM).Meanwhile, the removable part of the shower head gets knocked easily off its mount, partially due to the contemptible stiff plastic hose connecting the head to the base. Touch it and the head goes flying. Perhaps with daily use it may one day loosen up, uncoil and be the beautiful butterfly its creator intended but I won't be attempting to find out. Come to think of it... the five year old, $40 shower head I'm trying to replace came with a metal hose. What's the deal with that? The design of this shower head infuriates me. Why are there so many switches, buttons and levers? Did anybody test the usability of this product on like, an actual person? Also, I cannot recommend this for people who like a decent spray; the building where I live has excellent water pressure and this shower head managed to bring it to a drip. But for those who DO prefer a softer, showering-in-a-mid-day-rainforest-drizzle touch, I got you, +1 Amazon Star (TM).Nothing is this review is new. In fact, it's all been stated elsewhere in other, kinder reviews, which in all honesty I should have read more thoroughly. All I can say is that I hope Amazon honors my return request so I can feel slightly less stupid. If you are somebody who has discovered a well-designed, detachable, and decent quality shower head, let me know. Because this ain't it. 2Plastic shower head works fine but shower hose needs replacement Both perimeter ring and handheld shower heads work flawlessly, especially once the flow restrictor ring is removed. High volume of water at relatively good pressure. My complaint is with the material, particularly the shower hose. Plastic shower heads are ok. I bought oiled bronze set and the nice color hides the fact that they are made of plastic. However, the plastic hose is made of seemingly lower quality plastic and it's actually black, not oiled bronze. Worse yet, the hose isn't very flexible and the bottom loop is pointing to the side, bumping into my body whenever I take extra step toward the shower head. It really cheapens the whole package. I ended up paying $20 for a KES I3200-7 Stainless Steel Shower Hose. Given KES is selling the hose for $20, Delta really should have included the stainless hose for $10 higher price tag. 3Yes, plastic. No, it doesn't fall down easily.I'll make this short. Yes, it is plastic but it still looks good to someone who doesn't know. I love being able to use the different settings. We've had it for years and the plastic switch to change settings on the handheld part from pulse to regular just snapped off. This is my only real complaint. They could of at least made that part metal. As to the people who keep saying it falls too easily, we had the same issue and called customer service. It is because you actually have to push it into the base really hard until it snaps in. It actually holds it very securely.3Very niceAs soon as I saw the TV commercial for this shower head I knew I had to have it!Took me about a year to pick one up after they hit the market, I picked one up and have been enjoying it now for over 3months now.The shower head is nice because first of all it gives a nice flow of water and wide spray area. The shower head is quite larger than my other removable shower head before it this cause a small issue of my shower caddy blocking the pivot position of the new shower head. I simply turned the shower spigot up 90 degrees so the spigot points up not down to allow the shower head more room to pivot. I love how you can turn off the larger head, or smaller head, or have both going. Also enjoy the shut off button on the smaller handheld shower head, that is come in handy when cleaning the shower or giving the dogs a bath, so no water is flowing out making a mess. The cons are yes the heads on the model I purchased (lower end model) are plastic, but that was expected. The other issue is the connection hose is quite long, nice for maneuverability but at times the smaller head doesn't snap into the big head, or you knock it just right, and it comes falling out and this the tub. I'm worried its going to fall and crack the smaller head one of these days, so I'm headed to my local hardware store to but a shorter hose.Overall a very nice unit and makes showers comfortable for the whole family, and unlike the shower head before I've had little to now issues with calcium build up on the nozzles, just by simply scrubbing a nozzles that are not shooting straight has fixed that issue.4misleading photos!!!!!!!this review is based solely on the false advertising on the seller's part, and nothing to do with the product itself. this particular model, 58045-SS is only HALF stainless steel. the pictures you see on Amazon are completely misleading. I think they do it on purpose where they photoshop the back ugly plastic parts to have some sort of a reflection so you think it is in stainless finish. I saw the same shower head (even though listed under a different model number) at HD and it was $50 less. I then went on Amazon wanting a completely stainless finish because i did NOT like the half plastic finish and you can imagine my surprise when I opened the package to find basically the same item i previously saw (and hated) and had paid that much more money. If you are looking for the all stainless finish showerhead, this seems to be the correct model #. Delta Faucet 58569-SS-PK In2ition 5-Setting Two-in-One Shower, Stainles. but of course, it is even more money.....1Disappointing "massage" settingsThe fixed outer head sprays a nice, wide stream for full-body coverage. The hand shower is okay on its own, and as you might expect, the pressure drops a bit when you switch the diverter to turn on both shower heads. We have pretty high water pressure in our house after a plumber replaced all our screw-type inlet valves with full-port valves several years ago.Even with the high water pressure, this shower head struggles to deliver on the dual and massage modes. The fast massage is pathetic compared to our old Waterpik shower head. You can tell it's pulsing, but it's lacking in performance. I'd hesitate to call it a massage at all. The slow massage just feels like a low-pressure stream; you can't even feel any pulsing of the water. When you switch the diverter to both the fixed shower head and the removable hand shower, the massage is nonexistent. The "pause" button on the hand shower is a nice idea but lame in practice. I imagine it is useful if you shave your legs. When you press it, the shower head makes a lot of noise and appears as though it's just leaking.Overall, I'd say if you're looking at the in2ition line, you might as well go with the model that's $20 cheaper. It has a slightly cheaper-looking finish and only has one massage mode (since only one of the modes on the 58045 works anyway, you're not losing anything there). Also, the pause mode on the cheaper one is integrated into the mode switch instead of being a separate button.3No, it does not fall down. No, it does not fall down.If you barely set the faucet up in the holder, it will stay until lightly bumped, and then it will fall. However if you insert it correctly and it's clicks into place, it definitely does not fall down and takes a decent amount of force to remove it. The difference between putting it in correctly and not is very obvious. There's no ambiguity of "did I put it in right?". I'm very surprised so many people seem to have this problem. Our house has all Delta oil rubbed bronze fixtures. We replaced one of the standard shower heads with this and it matches everything else in the house perfectly. Yes it's plastic. In the dark bronze finish it doesn't look plastic though, and you wouldn't necessarily know unless you felt it.The start/stop feature is really nice, I use this to clean the shower, wash the dog, etc.My only complaint is that when you use both the outer ring and the inner shower head, the pressure to the inner head is so low that using different settings is pointless. It's nice using both sections at the same time for a wide rain-fall feel. But if you want to use any of the features of the inner head (pulsing, etc) you have to flip the switch to use the inner head only, otherwise your pressure is dismal as it gets split between the two sections.4Really Delta? For what they charge for this unit I expected better. The quality is on par with a cheap shower massage unit from Walmart. In addition the shower line is a cheap stiff plastic you literally would have to fight with to use (see pic below). This unit is going back.1Good shower headAfter reading the reviews I decided to purchase this product. Like other reviews, I'm not impressed with the hose given the cost but I knew that going in. I did start off with a high flow valve knowing I would end up with something like this (two shower heads). I would not recommend this with a regular flow valve. In other words, if you're just replacing the shower head and not a remodel changing the valve, this may not be for you. To be fair, I have not tested this product with a basic valve. I wasn't a big fan of the rubber washer that connects the shower head to the neck that comes out from the wall (none of which was provided-had to purchase separately). When I initially installed the head, the rubber washer folded over and leaked. I was able to carefully reinstall without issue or leaks.4Awesome shower and handheld in one....This handset and rain shower attachment is great. I read some reviews about the handheld falling off but we have not had any issues with it at all. The handheld slides on well and it actually quite secure once inserted correctly. We have a low ceiling that this was attached to and previous our handheld almost attacked us with a bursting stream of water that was strong for the little one. This two in one softens the stream of water and our 20 month old now loves to take showers in our bathroom because he loves the rain feel of the water. In addition to the both shower and hand held being on for a full shower feel, there is a lever to switch from the outer rim shower only mode to hand held only as well as rain shower outer rim only as well, which is convenient. When in handheld only mode there are 4 streams of water that can be selected which is great for washing as well as a water stop button which works well with little children so you can hand them the handheld while washing them. Overall this two-in-one is great, works quite well and we love the oil rubbed bronze color which matches the rest of our bathroom fixtures beautifully.5If you don't already have matching delta, I would go with moenThis product works after a lot of Teflon tape. I initially assembled it only wrapping the connections twice (which is usually more than enough) and to my dismay, the thing leaked out of every connection . I would recommend if you get this to wrap it a healthy 7-8 times to insure connection, it has very high tolerances . Be careful tightening the connection to the shower pipe. The "nut" on the shower head is very thin metal and I was able to bend it easily .The entire thing is plastic, and I think it will take more than a few hot showers to train the hose attachment on the shower head .3This is complete garbageMy disappointment cannot be understated. I read review sites who all raved about this head. It is complete trash. For starters, the price, ridiculous for plastic. You can spend less and get all metal. The detachable head comes off way too easy. It even comes off just by turning the water on. The hose is crap too. The hose has a wrapped up memory that won't go away. The hose on the cheap Walmart head in the kid's bathroom is better than this. The pause button is an interesting idea, but it still trickles water. The pressure sucks, even after removing the flow restriction ring. My house pressure is fine. I have another shower head that has so much pressure, you get a deep tissue massage and will blast a layer of skin off. But this one, the pressure is horrible. I honestly don't understand how people are pleases with this shower head. I am going to replace it with something else.1
