Customer Reviews

JUNKI have been using this pad for three days. I noticed white in two places on the sides. It is the gel and it is sticky. Since it is stiff and flat I will be pitching it. I tried to return it, but, was told It's not eligible for return...1Solid Product This gel wrist pad is exactly what it advertises as. Legitimate gel feel and perfectly fits to joint.Pros:-Actual gel feeling interior-Great microfiber exterior-Belkin brand-Nice fit-Good grip on bottom side-Black color that matches every set up-Decent packagingCons:-A bit small-No Belkin logo branded on the product however the packaging says BelkinRebuttal to other posts:-You shouldn't ruin a perfectly good product just to see what the inside material is. It may be foam but it feels just like gel either way-If you do not bend or use this product how it is supposed to be used, you should not worry about the fabric tearingOnly thing that would make this product better would making it larger and it becoming a Razor product, however ultimately a great product, definitely worth the investment. 4It's made out of foam!! Not gel!The wrist pad is harder than I thought. After about 1:30 or 2 hours or using my computer, my wrist would start to hurt and see a red mark where my wrist would rest on the pad. After 2 months, the wrist pad got squished permanently. I decided to open it up and see what it was made of really and see why it got squished.. it's made out of regular foam.. and a tiny layer of Gel. I'd say about 75% foam.Overall, I'd say it works if you're not using you're computer for over an hour. I guess you get what you paid for2Comfortable. Good design. Stays put during use but repositions easily.1. Feels comfortable--size and curved shape are ergonomic for an average-size adult man.2. Softer in the middle where the wrist lies than toward the sides, which makes the wrist pad more comfortable to use and keeps pad from exerting too much pressure on mid-underside of wrist.3. Soft, smooth fabric surface allows wrist to move around freely as needed.4. Good height above work surface--neither too high nor too low.5. Base does not slip on the wooden desk top, but still easy to lift off the desk top and reposition.5Not as good as GimarsI bought this to replace a Gimars gel pad that I spilled coffee on; the other comes as a set with a wrist pad that I don't need, so I decided on the Belkin. I don't like it nearly as much. It's not as thick and just not as comfortable. Already ordered the other one instead.3I rest my wrist hard on the pad during use ...I rest my wrist hard on the pad during use, so it collapses readily. Wish it was stiffer, but it does serve its purpose. Used with a Kensington trackball on a standing desk.Update; lasted about 9 months and then it started separating. It got pretty bad so I tossed it and got a longer one that I can flip around. I guess the combination of pushing down and forward on it just wore it out. Decent product for a moderate user.3Perfect size and great quality Wrist Pad that I use for a forearm supportPhysical therapist recommended supporting just the mid section of my forearms. I have a great chair with repositionable arm rests that move many directions but support the full forearm. These work great and do not easily slide off unless bumped off my arm rests. I am not sure what the material is on my Leap chair armrest but it's a high quality matte rubber like material with a slight tooth. That works well with these a wrist guards which have a neoprene bottom that keeps them from sliding on the arm rest or if I choose to use them on my desk.I like the size as it can easily travel with me on the road in place of my usual wrist rest.5I get better wrist support from a bag of hanging file folder tabs. This is the first time I've been disappointed by a Belkin product. It's called "Belkin WaveRest Gel Wrist Pad (F8E244-BLK), Black" but doesn't deserve the designation.1) This product is 7/8" thick, w/ about 4/8" divot in the middle. You can't see the divot because of the fabric covering, but you can sure feel it, once the product is in your hands.2) This "gel" product crinkles.3) I used it for less than an hour, and my wrist began to really hurt.4) Don't buy it "just to give it a chance," because there's a No Return policy for this item.1Summary: The flaw of the Belkin Gel Wrist Pad is that it is too thick ...The Belkin Gel Wrist Pad is nicely manufactured.Summary: The flaw of the Belkin Gel Wrist Pad is that it is too thick ...The fabric is nice, the horizontal shape is nice. The black color is nice (product photo is not accurate). Just about everything about this gel pad is excellent, except its height. It is just too thick. The pad raises the wrist such that one's wrist is only touching pad, with the potential to cut off circulation. This product would be perfect if it were about half as thick 0.25 inches instead of 0.50 inches. I'm keeping this $3.50 product, but I will be searching amazon for something similar that is a better thickness, as in less thick, so that one's full can rest on the pad barely touching one's desk, while relieving pressure from the end of the wrist and base of hand, which is what it needs to do.3well worth the purchasewhen I was wanting a wrist pad I read through many comments and most kept saying Belkin was the best. Now that I have used this for over a month I would have to agree. The outer material is well made and gel inside resets to the original shape even after many hours of logging in information. the perfect thickness for my wrists. I will definitely order through this company again.5Very durable, and great for gamers like meI've been using these Belkin pads for at least a decade, and have had no reason to switch brands. After a few years, they start to look discolored and disgusting (and I can only imagine how much bacteria make a home in them), so I break down and buy a new one probably about once every four years.I have noticed what I reckon must be a change in their manufacture, as I remember older Belkin pads being significantly less firm than what they issue now. Some people will not like this, but to me this is an improvement. As a gamer, you need support rather than jelly under the area of your palmar carpal ligament. The more cushy the gel, the more pins and needles you'll feel in your wrist with long hours of use (this is not a scientific statement of fact, it is just observational data). While we're on the topic, here's a top-notch graphite mouse pad: WOW!PAD LFR48 11.5" x 12.5" Graphite Large Format Mouse PadAs for a mouse, I recommend: Logitech Optical Gaming Mouse G400 with High-Precision 3600 DPI Optical Engine5No gel in it Based on what I read among these reviews, I think there are two distinct products out there: one that has a true gel core (people have mentioned problems with leaking), and the one that I received which has no detectable gel of any kind. It's a rubber-like material with a foam block in the center.I have a real gel wristpad (different manufacturer) that I use at work and I wanted a second one for home. I received this one and immediately noticed that it was very stiff, but I decided to try it anyway. That lasted only a few hours before I couldn't stand it. Since I knew it was unusable, and it only cost a couple of bucks (so not worth the hassle to return), I cut it in half to examine it. Picture taken and uploaded. So caveat emptor out there. You might or might not get what you expect. 1
